This is Greenbank Gardens, a National Trust for Scotland property situated in the south side of Glasgow. I have visited it several times before but it has been a few years since my last visit. The house is still private so not open to the public however there is a nice coffee shop, the gardens themselves and a woodland walk. The garden is divided into "rooms" with each slightly different in its planting scheme. Towards the bottom of the garden furthest away from the house there is a pond which is planted up with water lilies and pond plants. Overall the garden is quite pretty but not very large - about 2.4 acres in size so maybe not an all day visit. Like most Trust properties the plant naming was a little wayward with some labels visible but illegible which was a shame as it would have been nice to discover the names of some plants which we quite fancied trying in our own garden in Ayrshire.
Overall this 18th century walled garden is worth a visit although perhaps a half day spent wandering through it would be fine.
