Gentiana Murrayfield

This is an Autumn flowering Gentian called Murrayfield.   Picture was taken at the end of September and it had been flowering for several weeks and looked as if it was going to continue to do so for quite a few more - depending on the weather obviously.   This is its second year in this spot and seems quite happy.   It is an alpine Gentian which means it has a spreading, low growing habit.    The colour is outstanding!
