Holiday watering problem solved

One of the biggest probelms with your tubs and even hanging baskets is what to do about them when you go on holiday.   I like my garden however I wouldn't like to think that I would have to cancel my holidays just to keep my containers watered so here is a tip to help.   The picture shows a Gardena water timer and a garden sprinkler.   I simply put all of my containers together on slabs at the back of my house, programme the timer to come on twice a day - say 10 minutes in the morning and 10 minutes in the evening - connect my garden sprinkler to it via a hose, and that's it.    You can of course vary the amount of water by changing the timer settings - the middle of Summer will require longer times whilst in Spring and Autumn less time per watering. Check it works before you go, pack your bags and enjoy your holiday.
